This course focuses on the transitional issues for claimants who are moving from legacy benefits and tax credits to universal credit (UC). Giving the right advice about whether someone needs to claim UC or when to claim can make a huge difference. In some cases, transitional protection is available, intended to ensure claimants are not worse off. This course is intended to equip advisers with the knowledge to give advice on the options and implications involved in moving from benefits and tax credits to UC.
