You’ll learn about how universal credit might affect you and which benefits it’s replacing. You’ll explore the different elements that make up an award, the basic rules for claiming and the claim process. You’ll learn about the claimant commitment and work-related requirements.

The course is full of case studies, examples and interactive elements to help you engage with the content and practice what you've learned.

You'll look at all the stages of an appeal from the initial decision through to attending a tribunal, as well as what happens after you've appealed. The course is designed for advisers and others who are helping people with benefit appeals. You do not need to be a speciailist in welfare rights.
